• इस बात का ध्यान रखें सीढियाँ जब पहली मंजिल कि और निकलती हों तों हमारा मुख उत्तर-पश्चिम या दक्षिण पूर्व में होना चाहिए |
• सीढियों के लिए भवन के पश्चिम,दक्षिण या नैर्त्ग्य का क्षेत्र सर्वाधिक उपयुक्त होता हैं |
• सीढियाँ कभी भी उत्तरी या पूर्वी दीवार से जुडी हुई नहीं होनी चाहिए |उत्तरी या पूर्वी दीवार एवं सीढियों के बीच कम से कम ३"कि दूरी अवश्य होनी चाहिए |

• ईशान कोण में सदैव जल का एक कलश भरकर रखना चाहिए |इससे घर में सम्पनता आती है |मकान के उतर-पूर्व कोने को हमेशा खाली रखना चाहिए |
• घर में कहीं भी झाड़ू को खड़ा करके नहीं रखना चाहिए |उसे पैर नहीं लगाना चाहिए |न ही लांघा  जाना चाहिए |अन्यथा घर में बरकत और धनागम के स्रोतों में वृद्धि नहीं होगी |
• पूजाघर में तीन गणेशों कि  पूजा नही होनी चाहिए |अन्यथा घर में शांति नही होगी |तीन मातायों तथा दो शंखों का एक साथ पूजन भी वर्जित है |धुप,आरती,दीप पूजा अग्नि आदि को मुंह से फूंक मारकर नहीं बुझायें |पूजा कक्ष में हवन कुंड तथा धुप अगरबती हमेशा दक्षिण पूर्व में रखें |
• घर में दरवाजे अपने आप खुलने व बंद होने वाले नहीं होने चाहिए |ऐसे दरवाजे अज्ञात भय पैदा करते हैं| 
• दरवाजे खोलते तथा बंद करते समय सावधानी बरते ताकि  कर्कश आवाज न हो |इससे घर में कलह होता है |इससे बचने के लिए दरवाजों पर स्टॉपर लगाएं |
• खिड़कियाँ खोल कर रखें  ताकि घर में रौशनी आती रहे |
• घर में जुते-चप्पल इधर उधर बिखरे हुए या उलटे पड़े हुए नहीं हों अन्यथा घर में अशांति होगी |सामान्य स्थिति में संध्या के समय नहीं सोना चाहिए |रात को सोने से पूर्व कुछ समय अपने इष्टदेव का ध्यान जरूर करना चाहिए |
• घर के मंध्य भाग में जूठे बर्तन साफ़ करने का स्थान नहीं बनाना चाहिए |
